Sanctification
The Abilene Theology Conference exists to equip the saints of Abilene and the surrounding Big Country area with knowledge of God as expressed solely through His Word. The provided teaching will address various topics in today’s world from a Biblical perspective. The conference will provide teaching that expresses a high view of the Bible and His church for His glory. Conference Speakers will be those who have dedicated their lives to study God’s Word and how it addresses the conference topic. Those who attend can expect to be better equipped to address cultural issues from a Biblical perspective, serve the church, and understand God through His Word.

2025 Conference SPEAKER:
Dr. Andy Davis
lead pastor of FBC Durham NC
Dr. Andrew M. Davis is the senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina and the founder of Two Journeys Ministry. He holds a bachelor’s degree from MIT, a Masters in Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a visiting professor of church history at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Council member of The Gospel Coalition, and an executive trustee of the International Mission Board. In addition to his preaching and teaching, he is the author of An Infinite Journey: Growing Toward Christlikeness, Revitalize: Biblical Keys to Helping Your Church Come Alive Again, Christ Centered Exposition: Exalting Jesus in Isaiah, and An Approach to Extended Memorization of Scripture. Andy and his wife, Christi, have five children.

2022 | Spiritual Gifts
What are the Spiritual Gifts? What about prophecy tongues? Are they for today? All of these are questions we should ask as Christians. Dr. Thomas Schreiner answers each of these questions and more in a biblically faithful way.
2020 | Biblical Answers for Complex Questions
Dr. Owen Strachan spoke to the current issue of Wokeness and how we need to view it through the lens of the Gospel. Strachan is a professor at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has published six books and is a contributing writer for The Gospel Coalition.
2019 | Biblical manhood & womanhood
Dr. Bruce Ware spoke on Biblical Masculinity and Femininity. Ware is a highly esteemed theologian and author in the evangelical world, and is currently a professor of Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. Ware has written numerous journal articles, book chapters, and book reviews and, along with Thomas Schreiner, co-edited Still Sovereign.
2018 | Gospel Community
The Christian life is to be lived in the context of a gospel-centered community. This community is shaped by God’s word, discipleship, and true worship. We unpack the richness of the community God has called us to in the local church. Our speakers have years of pastorial experience and are committed to seeing God’s people thrive.
